(Its
name is after one of the owners, something like the house of Reuter or Reuters
house)
This
is a house with a long history and I actually know something about it. This
house was built between 1861 and 1863, after the big fire in 1827. The architect is G.T. Chiewitz (1837-1884). It was built as a family home for the Procope
family and has been home to many different families after that. In the 1920´s
the house was sold to the Åbo Akademi University and has since been used as
both apartments for the university professors and as for educational purposes.
